Senior General Services Commander-in-chief Min Aung Hlaing greeted the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief VONG PISEN on Tuesday with Honour Guard.
The Honorary Guard was received by the Senior General and commander-in-chef of the Real Armed Forces of Cambodia, and inspected at Nay Pyi Taw before Zeyathiri Beikman.
They held talks in the chamber after the welcoming ceremony. The aim of the discussions was also to encourage bilateral trade and the Buddhism of Teravada; the efforts of Cambodia to build inner peace; and the efforts to end armed conflicts and to build eternal peace in Myanmar.
All sides agreed that the two powers would establish relations, collaborate on military and training health, sports and culture, and exchange information on terrorist activity, cross-border violence, trafficking in human beings, narcotics and weapons smuggling.
General VONG PISEN is the first Royal Cambodian Army Commander-in-Chief to visit Burma. Since 1955, diplomatic relations have been established between Myanmar and Cambodia.
