On the final day of vacations in Thadingyut, the Yangon Central Railway Station received special Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw railway service.
Tuesday 8:00 p.m., Yangon Railway Station left the special up train of the Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw line, particularly for public servants returning to their workplaces. As a rule, Myanmar Railways provides a special extended service for Thadingyut holidays, with its two up and down train services for this route.
Yangon Central Railway Station, Regional Assistant Manager, Mya Kyaing said “The regular trains for this route run on Friday and Sunday every week. But we extened the special train service for today. And we also extended three carriages for the speical trains for the sake of passengers with original prices for each type of classes.”
The Myanmar Railways provided the special train services of Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon and Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw route, Yangon-Bagan route, Yangon-Mandalay and Mandaly-Yangon route for those who are going home from different parts of the country during Thadingyut holidays.
Aung Min, Passenger, said “I am Nay Pyi Taw’s civil servant. I came with the highway coach from Yangon, but the Nay Pyi Taw return coach tickets are hard to reach, because tomorrow everybody must return to work. Therefore, even if it takes more time than bus ride my family wants to travel by train. Myanmar Railways plans to run the special train service for the upcoming Tazaung Taing holidays. It is really great for the public particularly the public servants like me.
