At the Thailand 25th International Culinary Cup (TICC) in 2019, 3 professional chiefs of the Myanmar Chefs Association received 5 gold medals, sliver and bronze.
One of the famous food contests in Asia is the Thailand International Culinary Cup. The event was attended by regional heads, such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan and Myanmar.
Myanmar has received the 2019 Best Culinary Team Award with 92 marks. The Myanmar Chefs Association (Nay Pyi Taw) has included all Myanmar participants and one of the recipient chefs has said it’ s first over – the-counter experience.
Myo Kyaw Thu said, “We have won the 2019 prize of the best cuisine team, bringing the elephant trophy. In the top category of the culinary squad with 92 awards, we competed with national nations such as South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. I drawn my own menu and carefully prepared the food. In the western plates category, we also received a bronze medal. This is our first overseas competition experience.
The objective of the case was to demonstrate the Chefs ‘ talents, expertise, abilities and experiences, benefiting from their culinary abilities. The President of the Myanmar Chefs Association said that Myanmar Chefs can demonstrate their excellent abilities and bring pride to the country.
Oliver E Soe Thet, Chairman of the Myanmar Chefs Association said “We not just received five gold, a silver and a bronze medal. The top cup we have. There are very good cooks from Myanmar in Asia, in the Pacific region of South Asia. You see Myanmar could go out and demonstrate the pride of the globe. People are very glad to see the flag of Myanmar.
From 4 to 7 September, the event was held in Thailand. After demonstrating their exceptional culinary abilities in Thailand the winning professional Myanmar Chefs returned home Sunday.
